Hebrew is a beautiful ancient language which is also known as the Ivrit (עברית) and it is considered as the Semitic used for Afro-Asiatic family of language. So what is the Hebrew alphabet? There are Twenty Two letters in the Hebrew alphabet. The Hebrew speakers read and write from right to left which is opposite to the other modern languages.

Certain letters differs in forms, with certain letters are added to the word at the end. This thing is called as the ‘soffit’ form.

The various ‘soffit’ forms of letters are as follows – Tsadik (TZ)(ץ), Peh (P)(ף), Nun (N)(ן), Mem (M)(ם).

The Hebrew language alphabet consists of Hebrew vowels which are known as the ‘nekudot’.
